JASON ELROD

The Real Estate Nomad 'Running' Your Neighborhood

Doing What Comes Naturally

Jason Elrod combines the best of three worlds in his professional and personal lives. Real Estate, Technology and Running.  Each piece interweaves to produce the unique qualities of one of the most energetic and focused Realtors® you’ll ever meet.

“I grew up knowing about two professions.”, he says, “Technology and Real Estate”. His father worked as a computer programmer for the California Department of Justice and his mother has been a real estate broker for over 30 years.

Running is Jason’s third passion. It is a solid part of his life but did not come as naturally as the others.

When his wife was in training for a half-marathon, Jason followed suit, to spend time with her. Prior to this, Jason says the only time he ran was if he was chasing someone or something or if he was being chased. Since that time, Jason has kept on running and “running” the neighborhoods in his area.

Maintaining the Lead

Having started his career working at large banking institutions, Jason says “When you’re dealing with well over 4,000 clients each and every day, you need to make sure your systems for supporting them are spot on. Constant improvement is the name of the game”.

Later, he operated his own network consulting and security firm, which enabled him to further refine his own customer service and business systems.  “Getting paid to break into systems and catching the bad guys who are trying to do the same thing, may sound glamorously exciting in a Hollywood kind of way, but the reality is more about good business practice, attention to detail and long hours.,” says Jason.

Closing In on Success

Looking for a change of pace and wanting to spend more time with his growing family, Jason decided to switch careers, completely. Drawn to his other passion in life, he decided to become a real estate broker.

Since then, he’s happy to say that in all his years as a Realtor, he has yet to find a situation that had to be resolved at 3:00 AM on a Sunday (unlike those computers and firewalls).

Jason’s strong work ethic and streamlined methods of doing business, makes him a true, state-of-the-art professional. His single, most important “tool” is his “system”, which relies heavily on the benefits of technology. It also successfully sets him apart from others.  The benefit to buyers and sellers, in turn, is the immediacy and swiftness of transactions, accomplished by technology.

“Having an extensive technical background brings the power of systems directly to the transaction. The benefit of closing a sale with technology brings a degree of flexibility and ease to the process that others just can’t match” says Jason.

Knowledge is Power

Jason brings excitement to his work, with an added “teaching” component. Educating his buyers, at every juncture of a transaction, is crucial, to him. “My buyers come away knowing a contract, inside and out,” he says. “People are not sold. I believe it is about giving them enough information to make the best decision.”

Jason’s formula is consistent, ensuring a professional result, each and every time. It is his trademark.

Shoes: The Measure of a Man?

And so, too, is his running gear, which makes Jason a singular figure, once more. “Clients do notice the crazy shoes I wear when I run”, he adds.  "Being willing to step outside the everyday box and do what it takes to succeed translates from discipline to discipline."  Running brings it all together for Jason, leaving him refreshed and eager to embark on each new transaction. It’s the body, mind and spirit connection that refuels him in his work. It is surely contagious.

“I come to the table with reliable experience and a fresh, open perspective, to the business at hand. Each transaction is both similar to others and unique in its own right. Treating it as such lets me build upon what works best and learn how to make it better each and every time.” -Jason
